Youth Work & Social Media

Most people know a scary story about the misuse of social media.

Unfortunately these can prevent us from exploring the opportunities of the world in which many young people live every day of their lives.

To help get our heads around the issues and opportunities Simon Bass from the Churches Child Protection Advisory Service has written a useful article which originally appeared in Youthwork Magazine…

GenR8 – youth worship project – North Leeds

GenR8 is a Christian worship project comprised of worship events and workshops in North Leeds.

It provides opportunities to worship God, in fellowship with others, in all the ways we can. Different to a Sunday service, but with all the elements of worship within it. Biblically-based, but embracing modern culture and methods to talk about God and respond to his call.

The events change and evolve over time, but through them all we hope to focus on worship of our God and what that means for us. How is that different to Sunday morning? In one sense not at all, but GenR8 aims to be more exploratory and participative than our normal Sunday services often have chance to do.

Do join us at St Stephen’s Church, on Cranmer Road, Moortown, Leeds LS17 5RD on the first Sunday each month at 6.30pm.

For details of forthcoming events visit: www.genr8.org.uk
